Sixteen to 34 year olds, the group advertisers prize the most, spend 15 times longer on the internet in an average week than they do reading a newspaper.
This finding comes in a survey that indicates that the internet is now established as the third source of news behind television and radio. Newspapers and magazines move down to fourth and fifth place respectively/
The survey was commisioned for Freeserve. and found that in all demographics people spend three times longer surfing on line than they do reading a newspaper.
