Since it isn’t a well kept secret I’m a non-geekazoid, I value my comments section and the advice that gets left by
smarter people on different apps, tips and toys.
Recently I’ve been thinking about an alternative brower to IE6. I never
bothered upgrading Netscape 4.7 and allowed it to languish while I used IE6 and occasionally looked at Mozilla and Opera. I think I have a contrary attitude to big companies like AOL or something
and just stopped liking Netscape. Or not. I seem to find more interesting things to do than download, like read blogs.
Today I decided to houseclean the computer and download Mozilla. I never got to
Mozilla. I found reviews on Netscape 7 and took what should have
been the path of least resistance. It wasn’t.
The firewalls didn’t like having to approve Set Up for nearly two hours. That’s how long it took between all the weekend
script kiddies and a couple of back door trojans knocking, for my firewalls and me to get it loaded. It’s done. Looks good.
Seems to work. I can live with it. But, if 7 wants to give me AOL junk, it’s outta
here.
