This post from Instapundit got my dander up a bit. This kind of carping is what loses sympathy and maybe support. Canada took in your planes on September 11th. Canada provided and provides NORAD support. Canada’s people are in those AWAC’s over your country and over seas. And Canada’s military gave and gives what it can regardless of what the Feds say. Our delivered support cost Canadian lives by fraticide. Our frigates help patrol hostile waters.

Could we give more support? Yes. Most Canadians think so. Canada is co-operating and attempting to implement shared resources so our troops and personnel can cross the border to help in an emergency. I am really tired of the American media neglecting to mention these small details. And I wish bloggers wouldn’t neglect them either.

What about the single Canadian who hand built the Port Authority memorial, loaded it in a U Haul and drove 4000 kilometers to deliver it? That’s support Professor Reynolds, not sympathy. The name of every single victim, American or international is on that memorial.

What about the Canadian firefighters, Salvation Army workers, police and citizens who went to the US to help out, and God forbid, should something happen, would go again?
