While I patiently wait (no, let’s correct that)….while I impatiently wait for a couple of excellent technicians to connect up and do what technicians do to get Bene Diction on a blogging platform, a bit of leap-blogging turned up some good material. Jordon Cooper links up Mark Riddle’s interesting rant about the passage in Revelation 3:20.

Jesus isn’t talking to a person. He’s talking to a church. He’s at the front door of the church and he can’t get in. He’s even knocking. But no one answers. To many churches today are functioning with large budgets, expanding programs, pretty music, and worship services with “contemporary worship teams that are performing “Songs from the Loft”… Jesus has left the building and no one has noticed.

It is a good rant against the machine. That brings us to theConnexions.net link up to Living-room’s rant about how we do church. (if you read his main page, yes, that really is an inflatable church)

I’m not satisfied with this! I don’t want the Church to be an irrelevant institution in my country and world when I turn 45! I want it to be a dynamic force that is presenting the gospel of Jesus in relevant and life changing ways! I dream of a church that is not sniggered at when mentioned in conversation, but one that is respected for the contribution it makes to our society.
