Enneagram

Living-Room is looking at what types of people go into blogging. There does seem to be a bit of a trend. Head over, take the Enneagram free test and let him know your results. This is an interesting idea, and I think knowing can teach us how to communicate more effectively. So far, I’m the only Type 8. Type 8’s have a dark side and don’t play well with others!

Canadian Bloggers
All my Canuck blogging friends and readers might want to catch the re-run of the CBC’s Fifth Estate on Newsworld Sunday, if you didn’t have an opportunity to see it last night. (Yes. Sometimes the CBC does things well!)
It is on the Patriot missle system, Desert Storm, and the Isreali response. This system doesn’t work as a missle interceptor, and even with upgrades has not been tested in combat.
It is a riveting report. All I could think of was Psalm 20:7.
Believing high tech is going to ’save’ lives when proven otherwise is chilling, and one if left wondering how many lifes will be snuffed out on any side of a conflict because of erroneous, faulty faith in the ‘tools of war.’

This generations Howard Hughes
The documentary that ABC bought from the BGT on a damaged pop star, hasn’t even aired in North America yet, and all ready, you-know-who is yelling, “I was victimized!!”

Wendy Cooper, who is an adroit, mature voice, has been facing her share of blogging battering lately. This is the latest nonsense she has had to deal with. Wendy, you might want to read I took the Red Pill, Shalom, and Meditatio, they have faced this churlish, obsessive, childishness in the church.
They are also overcomers.

Whew. The Bible Geek is angry. That’s a first. And he has good reason.

Trashy tech talk
Quantum Tea expresses the same beef I have with SlashDot. I’ve said it before, and this blogger says it better…. “the signal to noise ratio is so low it takes more time than I have to find the occasional nuggets of good stuff.”
Go cold turkey, there are other excellent tech sites out there.

Chosing how to face your Day
Ian’s Messy Desk has that wonderful passage from Max Lucado on choosing how to start your day. Even if it’s afternoon or evening, go read.

Hiccups
Mark Morris says that French scientists may have discovered why we hiccup.
I’ll take that one with a grain of sea salt, oui?

The bane of blogging bandwidth
Are you tired of URL’s that are a couple of lines long? Here is a great site that takes a long URL and makes it small. Cut and paste and save some space. Tiny URL.

Terry Jones, he of Monty Python fame, narrows what is going on in the world to a more disgestible, understandable neighbourhood thing….

That Tiny URL thing is pretty cool. I thought it was going to be some type of joke, but it really works!

The link to my blog you gave does not take you to the correct post which you are referencing. Just put the normal URI up for now…blogger seems to have a few problems with the archives right now. Thanks!

My score was actually a tie scoring high on 5 and 8. The test told me I was 5, but when I took it again and answered one question I had skipped the time before it was 8.

    I kept 5 however because I liked the picture better! ; )

  7. 7 Bene Diction

Yeah, most of us are spread out on this test, a lot of the ‘types are similar. LoL. Blog on!

  8. 8 Christopher

Well I had the same score on 3 (the achiever), 6 (the loyalist), and 9 (the Peacemaker).
