Congo
Four teachers have been stoned to death by villagers in the area of the outbreak of Ebola because it is believed they cast an evil spell to bring sickness to the villagers.

In Kelle, people continue to believe that the Ebola disease is a spell that has been cast on them by witches, and four teachers accused of being the cause of the disease have been beaten and stoned to death,” said Dieudonne Hossie, a local official. He did not say when the teachers were killed.

The World Health Organization has had difficulty getting residents to co operate because they were mistreated by Guyanese troops sent in to quarantine the area in a prior outbreak.

Real Live Preacher has posted about his absence from blogging the past few days and talks about his mothers psychosis. Even if drugs do ‘bring her back’ he is a realist, and is mourning deeply. It is such a cold place to be. I’m praying Preacher.

So, should Redwood Dragon be a dogless God person or a godless dog person? Head over and have your say.

I get interested in posts like Midwest Conservative Journal and Mark Byron whenever there is a flap about separation in Canada. It has been a topic on the political landscape as long as I can remember here. Yes, we have serious separatists. And yes, Ottawa doesn’t listen, and my personal opinion is that MCJ nailed it a bit better between these two posts. It’s February, a hard weather month to get through and we Canucks warm ourselves up with some heated provincial/federal rhetoric.

I like what Mark Morris has to say as he ponders his own blogging.

In a way, by posting so many facets of myself, I have become a difficult person for people to link to. No one is very comfortable with such inconsistencies. Just click through my blogroll, for example. One link will contradict another. This is not a problem for me, because I enjoy that kind of diversity. But when that type of diversity is rolled up into one person (me), other bloggers become wary.

I have respect for someone who can consistently post on one thing, like Calvinism, post-moderism, tech stuff, politics or what have you. However, I like blogs like Mark because they do reflect the complexity of a personality. Viva la difference and blog on Mark.

Using a combination of trade tricks and clever programming, hackers have thoroughly compromised security at America Online, potentially exposing the personal information of AOL’s 35 million users.

Wired News has details of the security problems in this article.

Thanks for the kind comments, Bene. By the way, Iowa is the coldest spot in the universe right after the Boomarang Nebula. Not a scientific fact, just a hunch.
