CBC radio and Newsworld just pre-empted things to air a news conference with the Ontario Director of Public Health. It’s a reassuring, pat people on the back time, and here are our facts people, conference.
I wonder if it’s because one of Alberta’s top men got a bit snitty today. He wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes as a family physican.

Dr. John Conly the head of the University of Calgary’s Department of Medicine, wonders if Toronto health professionals are overreacting to the threat by classifying too many as possible SARS cases without ruling out other causes, such as flu or even the common cold.

“It raises a question of whether that net may have been cast too broad and starts creating an aura of fear and frenzied and hysterical reaction amongst the public.”

Fearful, frenzied and hysterical eh? Gee, feel free to tell us what you think.
Health officials expect a peak in cases the next week as the suspected incubation time runs it’s course.
China is admitting it had downplayed it’s SARS outbreak.
I can’t find the statement from Hong Kong saying SARS might be waterborne.
Update: Sars may have spread in block E because of a broken sewer pipe.
They just don’t know yet, but if he was symptomatic he could have put SARS into the sewer system through his disgestive waste.
