Oh my. There are definite advantages to living in Northern Canada.
We are in for a major show tonight, the sky is clear, the moon is so big, it is almost surreal.
This is going to be some eclipse.
About a 10 minute walk from my front door, I am away from city lights.
People are already gathering at the waterfront to watch this dance.
I’m off to marvel at the moon.

All clouds in Kansas.
That’s a shame, it is spectacular……
What cracked me up tonite was all the people out watching it.
I would have had to get up very early to see it — and would have been disappointed if I had because of the rain. Too bad, but glad you could see it
Hiya,
I’m glad you got to see it
I love eclipses, and still remember seeing a partial solar eclipse when I was a kid in primary school. The moon was beautiful here tonight. I only realised recently that the moon phase is the same all over the world (I bet everyone else knows that!!).

There was tremendous cloud cover when the eclipse started in my area. We couldn’t see a thing. But then, miraculously, the clouds suddenly parted and there she was! I was at the Shelter and so I brought a bunch of kids out to see it. We were able to witness the total eclipse, but we did not see any of the “blood red” color I was hoping to experience. Still, very cool, and the kids were in awe!
Mark, what a great gift, they’ll remember that the rest of their lives hopefully.
We weren’t sure whether we’d be able to see it since we’d had rain earlier yesterday. We had the news on late last night, and the weatherman noted that the eclipse was still visible. I got my shoes on and took the dog out for a walk.
Fortunately, we live in one of the highest points in the Dayton area, and, as such, didn’t have to look very far. In fact, we just needed to walk down our driveway to see it happening.
It made me realize how many natural things like this occur without me noticing. What an awesome God we serve.
