I had a bad day this week. I got up on the wrong side of the bed, and nothing I could do or think could snap me out of the funk.
I am by nature not a patient person. I tend to want to problem solve now and move on. And although life does not work that way and other peoples rythmn doesn’t match mine, I still have to relearn every time the funk hits.
I’ve been waiting for a talented person to help me out with something difficult that needs to be done, because I can’t do it. I have spent six months in miserable failure. I don’t have their gifts and I desperately need their help. Their skills require a level of trust that is profoundly uncomfortable for my personality and my almost non-existant patience had been stretched to it’s meager limit. Life does not dance to my tunes.
In funk times, I seek to find others who are facing life’s unfairness with grace.
While leap-blogging this week, I found some that cause me to hang my head in shame.
Shalom links to a blog of a young husband who is losing his wife to cancer. Tread lightly, it is holy ground.
Looking back….looking forward is busy comforting those who grieve, while carrying a heart ache that is almost beyond imagining.
Vital Signs scrapped the body of a teen ager off train tracks a few days ago. It wounds even the most seasoned.
And Real Life Preacher celebrates the courage of a grown-child who faced a faithless father with great faith.
Dear God, be merciful to me; for I am an impatient, mistrustful, ungrateful sinner.

Well merci Laura. I’ll hang on to the sometimes true cliche that no news is good news. Blog on!
From amidst the froth and bubbles…
… and the other side of a funk…
