I’m missing a friend already
Mark Morris of The Gospel of Mark is hanging up his blogging keyboard for awhile. He’d gotta do what he’s gotta do, but oh man, I’m going to miss him. Having been a recipient of Mark’s inner strength, steadiness, integrity and kindness, I have a sneaking suspicion he’ll refuel in all the right ways and be back blogging someday. I’m leaving you on the blog roll buddy.

Blog Day
….”Happy blogday to me”….
….”Happy blogday to me”….
Well, sort of.
I started blogging a year ago today. Here is my first entry at Martin Roth Commentary, where I was warmly welcomed.
It is there I started Blog Watch, which I’ve continued at this domain as Leap-Blogging.
So, today I celebrate. Then I think I’ll have a blog day celebrating the first post on my own blog set up in July, and then I think I’ll celebrate my domain name and final blog home set up in January.
I must have the one of the strangest blogging histories out there.
Team blogging in Australia, moving to my own blog off a server in the US, then on-going team blogging in Wales while I set up a temporary blog off a Canadian server, then finally, this blog safely up and running.
I think I’m home now, with this domain name off a server in the US.
It has been quite the year, and I’m really looking forward to the next one.

Happy blog day BD
Happy blogging birthday, Bene! How does it feel to be a year old in the blogging world? Mine comes in June… I’m waiting for it with bated breath because I never dreamed I’d stick with blogging this long. I was always afraid it would be another one of my run-out-of-steam-halfway projects – I have so many of those!
How is your twin? I hope his/her shoulder is better… is this manipulation a one-off thing or will s/he need continued physical therapy for a time?
I had grand intentions of looking back on meta blogging and doing a post on it, but the day is so lovely I need to get outside and celebrate! A year feels great, it is an accomplishment for any of us.
My twin is doing very well, everything went smoothly. If the shoulder seizes again, they can go in with an arthoscope and scrape out the socket, but it looks like that may not be necessary.
Thanks for the good wishes Irene. Blog on!
Félicitations Bene Diction, bien nomee.
We all travel interesting roads, different roads, with different destinations…… some go off the road, some refuse to turn, some cannot live the trip, some just don’t have a destination, and some arrive, and having done the trip, light the path for others.
YOU Bene, have no doubt, helped others down the road. That has to be what blogging is all about. We are all dwellers in time and space! Cheers.
Boy, one year! Relative to the age of blogging in general, that’s a lifetime. Not only do I enjoy reading what you have posted here and in other places, but I appreciate your support and participation in this blogging community of faith.
Of course, in our laid back and polite fashion, Canucks rule! Blog on.
“Cities burning in your wake, like the candles on your cake, Happy Blogday…” (Sung to the tune of The Volga Boatmen).
Well, not quite. A good year, despite some tsuris! Keep up the good work!
Happy Birthday! It has been a great year of reading!

Celebrate! Enjoy your accomplishments, Bene.
Peace,
Congrats on your blogday. It has been great reading your blog through the ups and downs of the last year. Hope the next year is a year of great blogging too!
And many more. Blog day is a great expression, so i will ‘borrow’ it, with proper credit, when my 3 years comes up in July. Keep up the great work!
Great Kathy: “Borrow” it with gusto so we can all celebrate your three years. Wow. You are like a professor emeritis of bloggers!

Happy blog-birthday… Your blog holds a special place in the blogosphere: the way you weave together the news we all know about, and the stories which may otherwise pass us by, and your compassion for the people affected by it is appreciated all around the globe.
Thanks BD.
Hard to add what’s been said; you’re worthy of all of it. Happy blogday!
Yo Bene D.
I’m not sure what the appropriate gift is for first anniversaries, but I’m sure something electronic in silicone & plastic would suit. Treat yourself, and many more years of online wisdom!

O
A belated happy blog day to you. Sorry I missed it. Oh, yeah…and many mooooooorrrrre!!!!
Happy Belated, Bene!
Keep the faith.
Well, bloody bloggin congratulations! Who’da thunk it huh? A wonderful year it has been also. Think about it. You’ve survived near extermination by a very nasty sort of internet control freak who (seemingly) lives as some sort of parasitic slug feeding off of the wit and talent of others.
It makes my skin crawl to think there are those sort of idiots passing themselves off as intellectuals when really all they are is “puffed up smidgens of blowfish shit.” Thanks to the movie “A fish called Wanda” for that wonderfully accurate statement.
You’ve survived the internet version of ping pong hell with the bouncing from server to server and host to host. And I might add, my how you have grown from all this stimulating bouncing!
Here you are today. On your way to becoming an icon of blogging. Or was that a blogging icon? Crap, I don’t know….too many hours behind the keyboard to keep all my metaphors straight….did I even use a metaphor?
So, it comes to this. A year later. You are still here and going on strong. Damn I like your tenacity! Reminds me of a bulldog I once had that used to shit….ooops, sorry got carried away with myself there.
Ya know who your friends are when there is shit from stem to stern and you don’t have a mop!!!
Keep on keeping on…(another Monty Python term…or was that “on the buses”?) Whatever….you are one helluva character and all are blessed by your indomitable spirit and words or wisdom. Of course…there are those who may not agree with me…but ya know what? I don’t give a good golly geee!!!! This is my time, my space and I’ll say whatever moves me.
Love ya!
Congratulations, BD! Here’s to another year of exciting existence for you!
Keep it up for Christ!
