Re: the stats.  I wonder what the definition of "partner" is.  If a partner is merely the catch-call for anyone a person is romantically involved with, then it's no suprise 1 in 12 live apart.  If it's the term for all spouses, married or common law, than it's strange.  Then again, you can't be common law if you don't live together.</description>
