As I mentioned earlier this week, Richard Hall of connexions, a superintentent of the Methodist Church in Wales is going to bike through the Methodist Circuit on Saturday and preach at 11 churches.
BBC Radio Wales and the local paper will be covering his retracing of history.
The local headline….
REV WILL DELIVER 10 SERMONS IN A DAY - IN CYCLING SHORTS!
(Typical of us media types… it’s 11 sermons)
So will I.
We will be attempting a double-blogging of Richard’s trip from here in Canada and on his blog in Wales in real time.
For those in North America, Australia and New Zealand, his trip will be reported in BST time.
Richard will bike over 60 miles on Saturday and preach at the South Wales Churches in honor of John Welsey’s 300th birthday.
Methodist ministers have a long history of ‘riding the circuit’, and this promises to be a unique event.
Bloggers taking note:
Richard’s Rigorous Ride (Canada)
In Souls Filled with Love (Australia)
A preaching cycle (Australia)
They didn’t sing, my chains fell off (Australia)
Wesley’s Birthday (UK)
Well deserved attention
It sounds like another blogger will be getting some well-deserved attention from the Detroit Free Press.
