There is a guy parked in the alley behind my place.
Nice car. Very clean.
He is just sitting there. Occasionally he touches his right ear. He has a laptop. And occasionally it looks like he is talking to himself.
He’s working. I don’t know if he is public or private.
My guess? Public.
The wicked part of me wants to go out and ask him if he’d like a coffee.
I know better. They don’t take kindly to being spotted and identified when they are working.
He is watching the roof tops and guarding the perimeter so what is going on five minutes from the front door of my place, goes safely for all concerned.
I always have mixed feelings when I see these guys.
On one hand it’s nice to see vigilance.
On the other it’s sad we need so much of it.
So, I think of angels and of how God guards us.
Angels have inconspicious down cold. They don’t need coffee. And, they are way better at their jobs than we humans could ever be.

Yeah, but then again, maybe he’s just out trolling for a Wi-Fi hotspot!
Maybe eh? :^)
If he is, he’s out of luck in this area.
maybe it was Frank Peretti.
Did you ever see Beverly Hills Cop, where Eddie Murphy has his hotel steward send food to the two cops staking him out? Hilarious.
And how do you know that fellow’s not an angel himself? <g>
My vote is for the food. Send him a pizza! That would be hilarious.
