The administrator of the hospital St-Charles Borromée in Montreal that has been facing a storm of allegations has been found dead.

56 year old Leon Lafleur was reported missing by his family Tuesday morning. His body was found today in a hotel room in St-Hyacinthe.

The hospital for the chronically disabled has been accused of mistreatment before. The latest evidence, brought forward by two sisters who secretly recorded in their sisters room has caused an uproar in Quebec.

LeFleur had dismissed the employees actions as ‘mean-spirited’ fun.
For adults those words do not belong in the same sentence, there is no such thing.

Statistics of abuse of the elderly and disabled in Canada run as high as 40%.

Tooth Fairy and Christmas for others

Calling all parents. Would you mind heading over to and helping out a perplexed dad? When your six year old loses both front teeth, Journey Inside My Mind is asking what’s the tooth fairy’s going rate? If enough of you put in your two cents worth of opinion, you might settle the dispute between mom and dad.

And this Christmas if you are looking to help someone else, Waving or Drowning tells you how to buy goats (3 so far!) and LivingRoom is looking to raise money for a pedicab with a 24 hour blogathon. It’s also Darren’s 1st year anniversary as a blogger so head over and wish him a Happy BlogDay! He has a very successful blog and has had quite a year.

LivingRoom has been so successful he is finding himself in the pickle I was in a few weeks ago. Many, many bloggers are not what someone in the US would even call lower middle class, or upper lower class. This may be a hobby, and for many it is also a ministry the rest of us benefit from. If you can help, a paypal button is up. Like most succesful bloggers, the interaction we participate in at LivingRoom can eat up his bandwidth.

    Re: hosting costs

It’s not just about classes and income, it’s also about exchange rates. Almost all hosting on the Net is sold in USD and, when converted, can be a fortune depending on the blogger’s means.

For example my hosting plan cost me USD$70 for a year. That may not seem much to American folks but after conversion it was $266 Malaysian. (USD$1=MYR3.80) It would be even more in Indonesian rupiahs or Philippine pesos. (USD$1 = 8,515 rupiahs or 55.7 pesos) In many ways getting paid hosting was a commitment for me, which is why I blogged for a year before even considering it. (Of course, it helped that Blogger sucked BAAAAAAD…!)

Thanks for sending people to help resolve the disagreement between me and my wife.

BTW, I just blogged about the other tooth coming out. So now my daughter has her top two teeth missing.

    Cheers!
