A family member is ill, and there are things that need to be tended to.
Patriot Paradox is not happy with my post and has responded by email regarding two things: The aggregator for the Blogdom of God and The Alliance.
I’m still not understanding this.
The criteria for the aggregator has been lifted. Catholic, protestant, orthodox are acceptable. Your requirement of entry is self-defining.
The Alliance is a separate (group?) with membership requirements that haven’t completely been worked through yet.
I gotta jet. Here is Patriot Paradox’s email.
Hello, I think I see where you’re mistake is. The Blogdom of God is already created and has been for 3 weeks. My ideas are inside the Blogdom itself. The first is for better communication INSIDE the alliance, and the second is to increase traffic inside the Blogdom as well. The Blogdom itself is growing by leaps and bounds, and yes I feel it was a great idea. So the issue you had, and the mistake, was thinking I was proposing an alliance. Look at my post:
Ideas for the Blogdom of God
Here are a few ideas:
1. Start a Yahoo Group for messages among the members. Make it private, and maybe even limited posting.
2. Maybe a Carnival open to all posts concerning Christianity that will be hosted within the Blogdom, but open to all blogs. This will increase both traffic and exposure.
So why did I take issue? Because you read itand jumped to a conclusion, and blasted the idea from your own mistake. My suggestion is to read it next time and look at keywords to see what is actually being said such as:
Start a Yahoo Group for messages among the members
Ideas for the Blogdom of God will be hosted within the Blogdom, but open to all blogs
I know you are wondering why I am making such a big deal about this, and I will explain. Jumping to conclusions and making comments such as:
“This guy’s idea can’t be for real, can it? I mean, this is a joke, isn’t it? There is no way this is serious, is there? Didn’t we all take this road a couple of weeks ago?”
Is the wrong way to make friends in the Blogosphere. When put against the fact that you jumped to conclusions, called my ideas a joke when you really had no idea what you were talking about, and then in your own comment on my site you said this:
“I suspect you weren’t aware others had discussed and dismissed these ideas, including Dr. Warnock.”
Well, sir, the Blogdom IS Adrian’s idea, and I am assisting him with this with my ideas. They were not dismissed, and in fact, are going ahead quite well. Adrian and I email each other regularly, and as you can see is a blog I visit frequently.
My suggestion to you is to triple chack your facts before attacking in like manner at a later time. You wrote a post that mocked ideas you knew nothing about, you then tried to back up your facts with incorrect and faulty logic and facts. Your blog is excellent, I love the style and I feel that you are one of the better out there, but sometimes you need to realize that we as bloggers do not know all the facts. You read, and did not see anything but an idea that you did not like. As you said:
“You have no need to fear my opinion and am sorry you see them as bold faced insults. I disagree with the ideas and can separate it from the person.”
At the same time we need to learn to seperate the idea from the fact. The fact is the alliance has been made, and my ideas were for within the alliance. Hopefully, my tirade is not too offensive. I was put off by the post, but it is not a huge deal. I only wish to have it corrected. You attacked the wrong idea, and put my site in a bad light. I have had many hits from your blog today, all sent to look at my joke of an idea. That is where I am upset.
Sincerely, etc.
Once again, all I can say is I am sorry I upset you.
I’m glad you got hits.
My word.
Triple check those facts.
These Blogdom, Alliance and Carnival start-ups can be so stressful.

First and foremost, I pray your family memeber will get well soon. They will be in my prayers.
Secondly ignore the Alliance, I mean Blogdom or Adrian’s Ecosystem idea, and idea that has come to pass. I think the main issue here is that I was taking offense at someone calling my ideas a joke, even though they are not a member in the group I was suggesting them in. I believe I understand the issue a lot more now. Did you feel that I was attempting to start my own ecosystem? If so then there-in lies the misunderstanding. All I was trying to do was create internal machinations to kick-start and help the group move forward. I feel I have entered into a much broader issue, and that being the issue of this being an exclusive ecosystem. Yes, the group caters to Christians, but I feel is inclusive of all denominations, not just a Baptist, Catholic or other type of group.
As for my starting the Carnival or so forth you have a very good point. I currently run my blog, the King of the Blogs ( http://www.patriot-paradox.com/blogking ) and go to school full-time to get an education degree, so yes it would be a headache for a bit. I hope to start it however and pass it on.
Here is my suggestion. First, I will apologize for any offense I may have caused you. Secondly, I ask that we all start over. I believe that everyone has given Adrian a bad rap, and I feel it is undeserved. I have barely known the good Doctor, but I know he has a spirit of wanting to sincerely help the other blogs, and I want to as well. I feel that any blog could benefit from being aligned with other blogs through this ecosystem. here is why:
1. Most people who go to Adrian’s or your blog are looking for Christian commentary. If they see the other blogs listed on the sidebar under the title Blogdom for God this will cut down on their search time, and help them find other God Blogs faster.
2. Being in a group that has even a quarter of the members consistently linking and reading your blog will give you the only currency worth talking about in the Blogosphere: hits.
I can understand the need to stay out of it, but negative talk about it only tarnishes your Brother’s and Sister’s in Christ. Of course, me and my quick fuse on this manner helps no one, and only diminshes my reputation, but that is my problem. I only want to make sure I am not incorrectly represented. I feel that was the case, but will forgive that in the good hopes that you will forgive me. Just to make sure one thing is clear. I am attempting to start a Carnival of Christian Blogs, regardless of denomination, not an alliance, ecosystem, or Blogdom. The Carnival will be enough of a headache.
Nick Queen
No problem.
I hope your ideas have had fair representation.
PS. I think there are other currencies.
