Once upon a time there was a blogger living in a tiny place in a big country.
The blogger found this web-logging was good.
There were posts to make and posts to read, and lots to learn.
There were emails and comments sections and people talking to and fro.
And the blogger made internet friends and saw that it was good.
“This is a very interesting way to communicate,” said the blogger.
“I must tell others.”
And so the blogger did.
But the blogger found that it was strange, lots of people knew nothing about web-logs and they didn’t listen very long.
And the blogger sometimes wished to meet and talk with those from the blogosphere, but there were none in that tiny place. So the blogger blogged on.
One day a blogger from the west said, “Hey BD. I’m taking an e-postle trip to see some bloggers. Can I come see you too?”
The blogger thought long and hard.
This was a new thing.
“Yes, you may come.”
The ‘e-postle’ blogger said.
“Hey Bene. I am with two blogging buddies. Can they come too?”
“Yes, they may come.”
And they did.
To a secure, undisclosed location on Friday the 13th.
And it was a fantastic visit!
Bene and the blogging friends clicked immediately, talked all day and late into the night, laughed a lot and even cried a bit.
And they prayed, thanked God, commited each other to Him, and said good-bye.
And it was church.
Leighton Tebay isn’t as intense in real conversation as he is on his blog.
However…it was really something to see him scarf down a couple of pounds of chicken wings after all that blogging talk.
He got his picture taken with the mysterious Bene Diction.
I think it may show up at DashHouse soon.;^)
Leighton’s heart is even bigger than he is, kids adore him. He ‘prayed’ for a pundit blogger in a bang-on barney-voice impression and there was much merriment.
Leighton brought the two bloggers he’d hung out with for 24 hours.
It’s like the three had known each other for years.
Charlene and Darryl Dash have two of the best behaved, brightest, happiest kids I’ve seen. C is a sweety, who loves to sing to herself and asks interesting questions. J intensely and seriously explains hot wheel slippers. He’ll be five soon and has his dad’s quick grin.
Charlene is a hoot, and a very good observer and logical thinker. There is a healthy streak of irreverence, and I hope she finds time to blog more. She has refreshig honesty and openess, and a mischievious sense of adventure. She is vibrant.
Darryl is curious; an instigator who is good at zingers. He asks blogging questions like, “What is the thing you got most angry at in blogging?”
He is an encourager.
Darryl and Charlene really love each other and are two of the safest people you’ll ever meet. Happy Valentines Day.
What an stunning day it was.
I don’t have words for a full heart.
Thank you guys.
