Thanks for the link to The Jesus Film Project. I've lost track of when I saw this for the first time, and am amazed at how many languages it has been translated into.

Thanks Lisa.
I didn't know whether government lawyers 'pass the bar.'
I stand corrected. Saying this program is making lawyers rich was mis-informed. My apology.

I tend to think about systemic abuse.
I know one of the roles of government lawyers is to weed out false claims.
38 million has been given in compensation to plaintiffs. I wonder how a cheque heals hurt.

Bene - re: money for lawyers - I believe that the money you refer to is for staff and lawyer wages for the Federal Government, not for the private bar (private lawyers). I don't know about Plaintiff's lawyers getting rich (which I doubt, as most of this work is likely on contingency and the awards aren't that huge), but the Defence lawyers are just getting their normal wages.

People chose to practice public law (employed by the government) for a variety of reasons but it certainly isn't to get rich.

Appreciate your linking to the atrocities in Uganda as sometimes we get so focused on other things that we miss something like this.

It's heading past US$300 million, if the report I heard of 45 million tickets already sold is true.
