LoL Julie:

90% of the media is left-leaning?
Where did you get that figure?

I can't speak to Fox News TV and radio.
It isn't beamed into Canada. They have an application before the CRTC. I doubt it would be eagerly received here. We already get heaps of American programming.

Puh-leez!!

90% of the media is so obviously left-leaning, and you want to complain about Fox News?

Irony!

FYI, I love the likes of O'Reilly, Coulter, and Hannity...

I have little problem with the fact border countries are a non-issue to most Americans. It is merely a fact.
I think American consumers are poorer for the lack of world news, but that is just me.
The difficulty I have is that when we do make the news it is painfully apparent how domestic the coverage can be.
I doubt Canadians would be any better off allowing Fox into our broadcast lineup.
I honestly can't opine on the Fox talent.
All I know about Fox is what is on the net.

Once you get past the evening talk show bombast (I don't watch O'Reilly and Hannity), the pure news coverage is solid. It is more pro-American than CNN, who strives to have a more internationalist vantage point, for they want a worldwide viewership. Fox is as right-of-center as CNN is left-of-center; between the two, things are fair and ballanced.

People us O'Reilly to bash Fox, but that's only five hours out of 168 (ten if you count a late-night rerun). Use the remote to head elsewhere between 8 and 10PM Eastern Time weeknights and come back during the day for a solid complement to CNN.

I don't see the average Fox viewer has a lot of anti-Canadian sentiment; for most of them, Canada's a non-issue.
