It’s the end of the second period.
Calgary is down by 2.
The ice is soft, the puck is bouncing, and the defense isn’t there.
I’m flipping back and forth between ABC (American Broadcasting Corporation) and CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation). Sorry, as good as ABC is, they just can’t cover a game like the CBC crew.
I’m cynical. Calgary could have wrapped it up in the sixth.
You wonder about the money.
Game isn’t over, but if Tampa wins, they did so because they played a steadier game.
Hmmm. 10 minutes left in the third. A 55 foot power shot. 2-1.
I was going to apologise to my American friends, it looked like the Flames didn’t show up tonight.
Now it’s a game.
The best team won. Congratulations Tampa!

What a great last 10 minutes. Too bad Calgary didn’t play like that the whole game.
The great last 10 minutes being the operative phrase.
Nice to see Richards get MVP.
2500 dollars for a seat is obscene.
The Flame still burns bright in my heart. I love this team and I am very proud of them. They did so much more than anyone expected.
GO FLAMES GO!
They did indeed.
But they played the puck tonight instead of the man.
Too much passion and not enough teamwork until it was too late.
They’ll have another opportunity.
I was rooting for Calgary and figured they’d find a way to pull this one out, just like they’ve done so many times before this playoff season, but ’twas not to be. I’ve no idea how the players union and owners will work out there differences to get a new contract going. Hopefully, this won’t be the last NHL game we see for years to come.
If there is strike that will be foolish.
Hockey will always have a fan base in Canada,
and I know the US market is lucrative but I don’t think the NHL can afford a strike.
