With all things techical, when you think it can’t get worse it does.
Apparently the ISP sent the email problem up two notches to a level 3 tech,
who fixed the mysterious disappearance sometime today.

I was unaware of that fact, because after uninstalling Norton and reinstalling another virus protection I found a Trojan.
Unidentifiable. And it activated.
The little bugger is buried in Windows update exe.
And it crashed my computer.
I put it in safe mode.
My brilliance did not make a modicum of difference.

Okaaaay.
Borrow a tower from a kind friend.
Go to hook up to the net.
Can’t configure for the net because it needs a TCP stack.

I’m past the stage I care, call the ISP, can’t get through.
Sane people would leave well enough alone.
Not moi.

I finally got through only to find out the tower didn’t have the high speed card driver installed properly. No problem. I can use the ISP disk and USB cable.
Nope. I don’t have one, don’t have the other either, you don’t need one with XP and that modem. I’m not working off XP, it crashed in what seems an eternity ago. My friend will have to trust me to reinstall the driver. Ho ho.

I have to look up my generous friend, use their computer, dig up two disks, watch the leadership debate, log on at 9:50 pm to Ipsos-Reid because the data is going to CTV in real time. The survey link is active for 30 minutes.

That’s not possible.
Obessiveness and stupidity are two traits that tend to go together, aren’t they?
And not very well I might add.:^)
