Thanks.
What needs to be determined by pros is how unique this trojan is.
Right now, we're aware it is it's own entity.
It's out of my hands, and when I get a heads up, off my computer.
I appreciate the offer very much Alicia. If Symantec can benefit from the info, I'll have my people get in touch with your people.;^)

I'm not at all surprised, I'm actually relieved. If it remains 'unique' or not, at least it's being taken care of. How utterly foolish of the person that did this.
I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad the ISP has had problems. Yeah, it's been a hassle, (enough blogging about it already!) but it has been for most of their customers. If they hadn't had difficulty upgrading I doubt this trojan would have been found.
I'm really sorry you and Jackson got hit Mark. Bloggers are great people, and one gave me information about another level of security that won't cost much to initiate.
Yeah, the cyber world has it's dangers, and it's no fun learning that the hard way,is it?:^) Blog on!

I wonder if there is anything in the virus that can help you track the originator of it? Both my friend Jackson and myself were attacked by viruses this past weekend, too. I was able to disable and remove mine before it did any damage. Jackson was not so lucky and spent all day Sunday battling the bug.

It's a little alarming to me that you have a "unique bug" apparently customized for you. You are handling yourself graciously, I must say.

I've installed a new firewall today. The cyber world is becoming a dangerous place to play.

Taking a stand, sowing integrity and kindness - of course you are susceptible to attack. It's up to the tech's now. In the meantime, enjoy the freedom that comes from knowing.
