Opportunism runs amok would be more like it.
Today election campaigning got a bit personal.
The Conservative Party had some over eager beaver worker sending out press releases and retracting them and sending them out again. Of course the leaders had to respond. They have media following them 24/7 right now.
I do not blame Paul Martin for his anger. That was a personal shot.

“Paul Martin Supports Child Pornography?”
“The NDP Caucus Supports Child Pornography?”

Enough!
That is lame and just damn stupid.
On Thursday a man was sentenced in Toronto for the 2003 murder of a 10 year old child, Holly Jones. The 36 year old blames internet porn.
Canadians don’t take kindly to this election hyperbole, there are people working very hard in this country to go after sources that feed predators.

And I have no patience or respect for some campaign worker sending out, retracting and re-sending press releases capitalizing on fear and pain at the expense of others so crassly.
The Conservative Party media boss needs to deal with the person who sent out those releases, the leaders need to get their reacts over with, lay out the party platforms on this issue and move on.
