Thanks Doug, I didn't exactly clarify what editions they do have.
I suppose as the net continues to develop more will become available online instead of just in a store.
I think the key thing is that we read eh? Blog on!

"You can reference a verse in all the editions available over at Biblegateway."

It's too bad they lost the license to the RSV. They also neglect the Jerusalem, the New Jerusalem, and the Douay-Rheims bibles. They left out the New American Bible as well, but I don't consider that a loss. ;)

Of course, if they were to include Catholic translations, they should have the deutercanonical books included in all translations for which they are available.

Beautiful indeed! I posted last week about my desire to be a Tiger Lily. I'm not sure what type of Lily this is but now I'm conflicted :-)

Thanks Osray!
Say wot!
Saw it growing by a shed.
You can reference a verse in all the editions available over at Biblegateway.
I picked The Message because it fits the picture, and because a lot of my readers have never opened a bible and wouldn't know there are more than 'begats' to read.;^) Blog on!

The verses are from The Message translation. I've seen a number of bloggers using it recently- it looks like an interesting interpretation, and quite thought-provoking. As a very free interpretation I would think it should be used with care, to supplement a more literal version. I'm not sure whether it would help or hinder new believers.

I'd say the caption version of that passage sounded like the "Good As New" translation, but the GAN doesn't use modern language nearly so eloquently. ;)
