It hasn’t been a good day in this world.

It is the last day of summer holidays in Moscow.
Initial reports say a female suicide bomber blew herself up outside a Moscow subway station. Other reports say it was a car bomb. At least 6 people are dead and over 20 wounded. 90 people died when two planes were blown up last week.

And Hamas has claimed responsibility for two bus bombings in Beer Sheba.
15 people are dead and over 80 are wounded.

Alexei Borodin, 29, was walking with his mother near the blast when he heard “a very powerful bang. Something flew past my head, I don’t know what it was.”

“There were people lying in the square,” he said. “There were pieces of bodies … We were walking through pieces of people.”

Oh dear God, I didn’t walk through pieces of people today, but too many people did. Be with them in their horror, give strength to first responders, courage to the city dwellers and draw near to the grieving. Help the healers sooth the wounded. And dear God, we lift up those who hate, who reduce themselves and others to pieces - may they face your Love and your Holiness. Show us ways to help each other, to restore dignity and hope to those created in Your image, so that none walk through pieces of people.

Bene, thanks for putting your prayer out into the blogsphere for God to hear.

There’s so much hate going on in the world today and it seems to just feed off itself to expand out more and more in its cruel forms–like a raging fire that consumes all that it comes in close proximity to.

In my opinion, it’s going to take something beyond mankind itself to solve this present miasma of destruction and spiraling pattern of hate.Chasing after hate with more hate isn’t working!
