Micheal Coren is a Canadian religion writer.
I’ve heard him speak.
It was at a protestant church. I recall he was speaking about his anger at the CBC. You’d think a pulpit subject like that would catch my attention.
But it didn’t. I tuned out. I couldn’t remember the point he was trying to make if my life depended on it. Someone steps in a pulpit and opens their mouth and I go into a major zone out for the rest of church time. It’s as predictable as the sun coming up the occasional morning.
I read his column. He is good at what he does. He knows his subject matter and states his opionions clearly.
So, he has joined the Catholic church. I think the protestant behavior is as ridiculous as the behaviour of some of the other readers he attracts.
Go with God, Mr. Coren.
via relapsed catholic. It’s too bad we don’t get the cable channel Kathy Shaidle shows up on occasionally. She’d be a dream guest - who had me laughing through her latest procrastination.

Michael is a friend. I suspect this won’t be the last stop on his spiritual journey.
I sympathize with him. It is so hard to find what one is looking for in many churches. I hope that he finds it within the Catholic church this time.
I suspect we have a lot to learn from the different branches of the church. It’s a shame we take shots at those in other traditions from ours.
