Is anyone else finding the Blogger comment sign in a pain?

It takes three steps initially, then I guess just one if you use remember me.
The anonymous choice is sort of redundant. I’d like the blogger to know I’ve been there, so I take the step to remember to put my John Henry on. It’s a bit of a no win for the readers who don’t like sign ins.
I’m not commenting as much as I used to or as much as I’d like.

Was this started by Blogger to block comment spam?

If I remember right, it was designed to stop comment spam.

The Blogger commenting system always required signing in. I suppose the purpose is to block spam.

Anyway, that’s one of the reasons I went back to my old haloscan commenting system–the comments on my blog went way down in number when I tried out the blogger commenting system.

I find it very much a pain. I would definitely say that I do not leave many comments on Blogger-hosted comments. When people have them I usually don’t leave comments because it just takes too much time to sign in.

    Spoiled aren’t we?

I hope Blogger finds an easier alternative for readers. I don’t wish comment spam on anyone.
But there are enough obstacles online without more sign ins.

I know that it reduces the number of comments I enter on BlogSpot blogs. It’s a pain.
