It is fitting that this is the one-thousandth post on this template.
This blog has been on a lot of servers and through a lot of things.
Pieces of it are missing or gone - marking the trials all of us go through in our learning curves, in our adventures and misadventures online.
I posted earlier this week what Ganns at Superblessed had to say about his blog awards that he has run since 2002. I’m glad he spoke up and spoke from his heart.
The awards read like a United Nations (said without shame, rancour or politics) which is a strong testament to the strength and knowledge of Gann’s online presence. There is a blend of long time and new blogs.
I’d encourage you to check out the nominees, and I’ve linked up to the 2004 choice in each category.

Blog on!
Forgive me Father, for I have sinned.
I have been slothful in maintaining my blog, by not learning Movable Type.
I cannot ping.
I have posted depressing pathetic pleas for attention and encouragement.
I have relied too heavily on links to unimportant news events.
I have offended my siblings with controversial, inflammatory proclamations.
I have posted large jpg files, leading to frustration for those on dial-up.
I have joined in posting popular memes.
I have believed the hype of my server statistics. Monthly Weekly Daily Hourly.
I have ignored the pleas of those hungering for more sex posts.
I have become too involved with home and family to live the adventurous life that would lead to more sex posts.
I have not worked to reach my full potential in blogland or meatspace.
I have used words like “blogland” and “meatspace”.
Please accept my confession and forgive my transgressions.
Bless my links, and let them grow more abundant.
Bless my comments, so that they runneth over.
Protect me from server outages and evil trolls.
Guide and inspire me in your ways, so that my posts may improve.
Carry me along on your heavenly chariot of heavy hits.
Blessed be the Lord.
Amen
