There is a baby porcupine up a cedar tree, and he/she is not happy.
I didn’t know they could sound so distressed.
He/she got themselves up there for whatever reason, they’ll have to find their way down.
I’m tempted to help, but a leather jacket and work gloves wouldn’t protect me. Or the porcupine, he/she is scared and upset. Even though it is young, it has 30 thousand quills. Ouch.
I don’t want to scare him into falling.
They are slow, clumsy, shy, rather benign animals and being daylight and all, he is feeling very vulnerable.
Like me, porcupines prefer night time. Hopefully he’ll get hungry enough tonight to find his way down. If he doesn’t get himself down by tomorrow morning, I’ll get him some assistance.

Ahh…I hope the poor thing figures it out soon. I sure wouldn’t try to help. It sounds like a job for a professional. A professional what, I’m not sure. Good luck!
The sun set, my prickly neighbour decided it was safe and time to wiggle down.
They are fun to watch. It seemed okay and went about it’s business.
You have such a sensitive and tender heart. I wouldn’t have even taken any notice of these things.
Glad he made it down too… I care for the little varments too. We have porcupines here also. Thanks for sharing
