I get angry when I see this type of cyber-abuse directed at someone.
Blog on the Lillypad (Jerri Massi) has reported law-breaking by Independent Fundamental Baptists.
Most of us would report it and back off, hoping the authorities take over and do their job.
But that isn’t Jerri. She has come out of that background, has rejected the abuse and the cultish fearful lifestyle and now helps others regain their lives.
And Jerri goes right back into the cyber lions den (figuratively speaking) engaging others at a fundamentalist forum.
And she is verbally abused and has been seriously threatened.
She received a scary email the other day - frightening for a couple of reasons.
One - she has traced it to a government department and:
this person is obsessively disturbed. This is not funny ha-ha, it is funny peculiar.
Many of these men are socially immature, self-absorbed and power hungry. These guys are all the more dangerous because they do what they do in the name of God. And many of the women that follow them are just as culpable in turning a blind eye. Unhealthy, unbalanced zealots.
Go read this event for yourself, and let Jerri know you are standing with her.
Abuse isn’t stopped with more abuse. It needs to be held to the light. Threats need to be taken seriously and the people making them need to know they are going to be held accountable. Especially when they mock, demean and threaten in the name of God.

Thank you for the earnest support! We’ll see if the Indiana National Guard has any policies about abuse of their computers, and if they enforce their policies.
I’m not sure how serious the suggestion of throwing me into a nuclear reactor is, though it certainly reflects the resentment towards me of these ungodly and perverted men who masquerade as preachers in Christendom. At the very best they are mockers, scorners, and cowards. At the very worst, they are adulterous and violent—and still cowards.
But God in His mercy to me has ordained that they be as stupid as a bag of anvils, so there is a lot of room to be optimistic about escaping anything they intend to do, if they ever get as far as committing real actions, instead of virtual warfare.
Thank you for documenting the situation. The more it is publicized, the less likely these cowardly men are to risk doing anything other than talk. In a multitude of witnesses, there is safety.

You won’t get any argument from me about the banality of this abuse. I pray for your protection, but I also pray that you remain cool-headed and that others take this very seriously.
The line between verbal violence and physical violence is a thin one as you well know.
This latest writer’s hatred of females is blatent and edgy.
How safe are the women in his life?
It’s nothing anyone needs to become acclimatized too. Be safe, you have work left to do.
And you are correct, there is safety in numbers.
