The Canadian government (federal) has set up a web page where policy issues can be discussed by voters.
The online discussion is summarized and passed on to policy makers in Foreign Affairs.

If nothing else it is an interesting use of the internet, and gives people an opportunity to present their views. I don’t know how seriously administrators will take what is said, but hopefully it won’t be because people aren’t saying something.
If nothing else it takes participation past the phone, letter, email stage and puts it out there for anyone who wishes to see it.
Starting Monday the topic will be Security.
