It’s been 14 months since the first God-blog demographic study and while much has changed, much remains the same.

This snapshot of god-blogs in 2005 will have contributors in areas I am unfamilar - St. Blog’s, church blogs, and hopefully a better look at blogs outside the US. New technology, new platforms, and a healthy influx of new blogs (particularily in the protestant sector) deserves a look, and an update is due.

It will take time because each blog counted, gets a visit. As with the previous study, bloggers will not be personally surveyed. That is already being done by individuals in posts.

This study, as the last one, will be put out there for use and critique by anyone interested. I’m finding myself starting this study with a heavier heart than the 2003 snapshot, and I’m not able to articulate clearly why. Again, as with the last demographic, I will make every attempt to clearly state personal bias and lack of skill-sets.

I have the outline, some excellent and knowledgable contributors, it’s time to buckle down to the research. Coming soon. Blog on!
