I remember when former Prime Minister Jean Chetien was hosting the Queen and sat down before she did. It was a national story - and Her Majesty certainly took it graciously and in stride. There are protocol officers and it could have been nervousness on the part of the PM. This Switerland dinner is really over the top. Hadn't occurred to me any of it might have been deliberate. From the Iranian perspective? Probably not good. The best planned events have gaffes, but this is quite the series of them.

I mean, how could someone forget ALL of those things about drink and food for Muslims? I wonder if this really was a badly veiled insult. Okay, the wondering is done, because the thoughts of this being true are too scary to consider, that this was all planned as an insult. I wonder what this looks like from their perspective.
