If Canadians are planning to head to the States, new rules require a passport.
Picture ID will no longer be enough.
Also, David Wilkins a South Carolina Republican will likely be the next US ambassador to Canada, replacing Paul Cellucci. The announcement is expected next week.

Where’d you get that passport factoid? I’d like to see that link if Gomery doesn’t have it gag ordered.
That seems to be counter what we’re used to, where a driver’s licence and a birth certificate were enough; not too long ago, just the drivers licence was enough.

We should be OK for this summer though, the new rules come into effect Dec 31st/2005
Technically that is correct Hamster. Given the vulgarties of the passport office, apply now and watch out for the whims of customs at the border:^)
