Open Source

How people talk about God online. What an interesting topic.:^)

I did an article on pod-casting for Spero News this week. I left out a fair bit, including the copious amounts of bandwidth pod-casting requires.

To be honest, it’s not something I’ve paid much attention to. In the time pod-casting has been available I’ve listened to one. It was an interview of a blogger by Christopher Lydon. Good thing everyone isn’t as dis-interested in new technology as I am. Since I’m in a confessional mode, I’ve only listened to one sermon online too, and it happened to be a minister that blogs.

Christopher Lydon has started a new concept and Real Live Preacher and Jeff Sharlett will be his guests Wednesday discussing how people talk about God online.

Why is Open Source (name of the show) different?

1) It will be broadcast on NPR and the net (simulcast) by July.

2) It has a blog that dictates the tone of the show. Callers, hosts, producers, listeners, all can have a say online before, during and after the show.

3) The shows will be pod-casted (archived on the website)

About Bene Diction

Have courage for the great sorrows, And patience for the small ones. And when you have laboriously accomplished your tasks, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.
