This article in the New Strait Times takes a look at the rise of blogs in Malaysia, who the bloggers are and what their implact is. It is estimated there are 10 thousand blogs in the country.

Malaysian Jeff Ooi of Screenshots recently won the Best Asian blog promoting freedom from Reporters without borders. Ooi faced prison threats in October of 2004 for allowing a comment on his blog insulting Islam.

Irene Q is another good Malayasian blog, documenting her life, work and struggles with faith.

Messy Christian is also a personal and popular blog exploring matters of the Christian faith in a multi faith country.
