The Tennessee Department of Children’s Services has called off an investigation into an ex-gay ministry called Love in Action.
The investigation was prompted by the blog of a 16 year old boy named Zach.
Officials have determined no child abuse is taking place.
“Zach” wrote in his blog that he was admitted into the facility by his parents [...]

Macleans magazine has a short profile on David Wilkins, the 58 year old former speaker of the South Carolina house who is replacing Paul Cellucci as the US ambassador to Canada.
Wilkins has been to Canada once, and his lack of knowledge may well be an asset for him.
Cellucci didn’t impress the average Canadian when he [...]

I don’t think reversing this decision is going to happen, and I don’t think it’s a good idea.
A coalition of Canadian arts groups and unions asked the federal cabinet on Monday to reverse a regulator’s decision that allows the two biggest U.S. satellite-radio companies to launch their services in Canada.

time understanding you, but they have some vague sense [...]

The price of going public, or even merely being suspected to be HIV-positive, includes being turned away from health care services, denied housing and employment and shunned by friends and colleagues.
Other sanctions include being turned down for insurance cover or denied entry into foreign lands.
Testimonies abound of HIV carriers, who have been evicted by their [...]

16 year old Zach was sent to Refuge - a draconian program for children and teens that say they are gay.
(I don’t know the definition of children in this newspaper report)
Zach’s story was first picked up from [...]
