Not sure what you're getting at!!! However your "Quote" re Christians is probably sad but true...that's why Jesus told us to examine that "fruit" of a man or woman, what they produce in their real lives, rather than what they purport themselves to be. Hitler's fruit was pretty clearly death and destruction, which is Satan's fruit not God's. They're alot of labels out there...check out the genuine product inside to be certain that You know what's real and what isn't....all wisdom comes from God's word.

In hindsight, easy question.

Hitler used what he wanted to use. I've never met a meglomaniac, let alone a functioning one.
Some functioning sociopaths, yes.:^)

Most of the German people saw him as a Christian because it was in his best interests for them to believe that. It made it easier to follow him.
I think in hindsight infamous is easier to swallow for some than famous.

It's a little odd for that article to claim Hitler as the "most famous Christian" and then ask whether he even considered himself to be a Christian.

If Hitler didn't consider himself to be a Christian, why should we?

Hm, I don't think James was referring to the creation of widows and orphans when he said that true and undefiled religion (a.k.a. true and undefiled Chirstianity) was the care of such.

I guessed wrong too.:^)

Thanks for the Straight Dope link Richard.
How many political figures and groups currently in the world use 'christian' for their gods, ideologies and idolatry? I can't count them, can you?
