That's a healthy attitude.
There are enough people willing to get really indignant without looking inward.
Parody has the ability to help us do that and often sails right over some people's heads.
Sometimes mine too.:^)

Yeah, I have a hard time mustering real indignation. I prefer to quietly smirk my way through the nonsensical - mostly because I'm less offended by goofy portrayals of Jesus than I am lightly annoyed. Not even deeply annoyed. Just lightly. 'Cuz I mean, how often are my own conceptions of Jesus as incomplete and unscriptural as Stephen A's are? Answer: pretty often.

Yeah, great. I can just picture God wringing his hands: "OMG, what? A hurricane? What'll we do? Where do these things come from? I wish I could stop it and prevent all those senseless deaths. But no, we'll just have to be there to encourage the survivors. Oh jeez, I hope there'll be survivors! Oh won't somebody DO something!"

Kevin Smith's Dogma introduced Buddy Jesus. Stephen A has given us the pleasure of Pantywaist Jesus.
