Paul Coffin who was the first charged in the adscam scandal pleaded guilty last week and was handed a two year community sentence.
The Quebec crown attorney has decided to appeal the judges sentence stating that the sentence sends a message to the public that crime pays.
In ruling in Coffin’s guilty plea the judge said the defendent had a clean was remorseful and had paid back most of the tax payers money to the federal government taken in adscam.
