Another note, another resignation in the election I’m not paying attention to: Gordon Stamp is a Conservative campaign manager for Peter Goldring of Edmonton East. Stamp posted at rant about Alberta separatism at Free Dominion under the name ‘psycho’ Gordon Stamp has stepped down as campaign manager, and Goldring issued this statement:
“This evening I learned about comments posted on the Internet by Mr. Gordon Stamp, who has been serving as manager of my campaign in Edmonton East,” Goldring said. “I was deeply disturbed by these comments, which in no way reflect my views or those of the Conservative Party. To the contrary, I have spent my entire adult life fighting for a united Canada, and, in fact, was drawn into public service to fight for Canada as a united federation.”
The Edmonton Sun has an interview with Peter Goldring about his campaign manager’s resignation. Free Dominion is such a slow load and such a mess to navigate digging up Stamp’s verbal barrage is difficult. Paul Wells has been on top of it. And I’m getting 404’s on Stamp’s Free Dominion entry that has lead to his resignation - according to some bloggers, Stamp has made over 4 thousand entries in the forum. Bouquets of Gray broke the story, and points out that Goldring has been associated with Free Dominion in the past - the blog found a speech to the Free Dominionists on Goldring’s webpage from three years ago. It does beg the question, if Mr. Goldring made a speech to Free Dominionists three years ago, how come he isn’t aware of his campaign managers views on the forum? Four thousand entries from Mr. Stamp is a lot of chatter. If you want to see what other blogs are saying about Stamp’s separatist posts, put Gordon Stamp, Free Dominion and Peter Goldring into the Technorati tag search.
