Paul Martin.

Paul Martin will not lead the Liberals into another election. He is stepping down as Liberal party leader.

He will hold his opposition leadership while he consults with his party and will keep his seat. He did it with grace.

Oh my gosh.

    He was wise to step down. If the Liberal party is going to heal, Paul Martin did what needed to be done.
    If he had not, the public implosion in his party would have fed Canuck cynicism, and we’ve had enough of that.
