Warren Kinsella:
Mark Bourrie and I have reached a settlement. At his web site, and here, Bourrie has agreed that the following should be published:
“The manner in which my January 14, 2006 blog entry was worded made it seem that Mr. Kinsella had been a party to illegal conduct when this was clearly not the case. I apologize without reservation to Mr. Kinsella for that error on my part.” Mark Bourrie
That should assist in bringing the matter to a close. I won’t add any commentary, because everyone who reads this knows what it means.

Published 2 years, 9 months agoWith luck, Kinsella is no longer my problem and I am no longer his. There is no reason for our lives to intersect. For either of us, or both of us, to spend money further litigating this would be a fool’s errand.
I believe bloggers’ rights are as strong today as they ever were. Web bloggers should remember, though, that any post that they feel is worth defending through litigation must be rock-solid and unambiguous. They must choose their fights carefully, get far more support from other bloggers than I got, and, for Canadian bloggers, be prepared to fight our utterly draconian libel laws.
