flame war: The term started with USENET - when creative discussions denerate into crude name calling. It is used to describe arguments that get out of control (name calling) in blog posts, and particularly in blog comment sections.

Ian of Ian’s Messy Desk and Richard Hall of connexions er, got into it in Ian’s comment section a few years ago. Every time I think of that exchange I smile. Now I get to laugh all over again.

Ladies and Gentlemen: my all time favorite ‘flame war’: I Make a Connection with Richard.:^)

I’d forgotten what fun that was!

It was a moment of inspiration. Thanks for the link back B.D.

Definitely witty reparte. You two took all the key elements of a flame war and had me laughing because I identified. I’m glad Ian took it out of comment storage where it wouldn’t be seen as much and shared it, well done!

It was a great way to learn some communication skills. Thanks for the lessons and the laughs.:^)
