Busy couple of days. Just admired a tree that got planted today, it isn’t going to save the planet, but it will help a friends front yard look a little nicer.
I helped a frustrated parent figure out who to contact after their email to a union was returned as spam, and the school board’s site is 404. Whatever the reasons for a strike by assistants – the parents aren’t getting answers or relief. I don’t think that’s fair, if they can’t get through to the board or union by phone or on the internet, then at least I can help them contact local media appropriately.
I’ve been too busy this week, and today is a day to stop, take a break from  intellectual exercise and usual running around, acknowledge fatigue, and seek rest.
One of the ways I do that is with music and I’ve been listening to a guy named David Phelps, a CD called Revelation. Most of the songs aren’t aren’t to my taste (what CD can pull that off!:^), however the latin guitar and tight arrangement of the prayer Pardoname Dios is resonating – reaching past thought, and restoring.
God in heaven, hear my prayer
For the suffering here below
Of the innocent and pure,
And the many without hope.I am just a simple man still believing in a dream
of a world that’s ruled by loveÂ
Only You can intervene.Pardoname Dios,
Do You hear my cry?
Pardonmane Dios
Can I ask You why
this world’s cruel injustice never seems to cease?
With pity and mercy, heed this prayer for peacePardoname, Pardoname, Pardoname Dios.
(The clip at Phelps site is the chorus) (lyrics here)
