Many middle eastern countries that participate in sports on the national stage do so on terms that work for them. For example, soccer teams wear long pants. You don’t find many Muslim government based countries with swim teams.
In North America we are used to seeing different cultures wearing what they are comfortable with. A sari, a turban. Mennonites in long black are not an uncommon sight.
All things in moderation….
On Baptist forums in the US it looks like Morman polygamists (who are also known for this type of clothing) may be finding a huge market. This isn’t Utah, this is a Baptist marketplace.
Go to the Fundamentalist Top 500 and you’ll find ads for ‘modest apparel’. Morman polygamist women would be right at home.:^) Well, maybe not completely, you are offered a free bible study while you shop.
And the long sleeves are missing – which is probably a unique Baptist touch.
