It’s GodBlogCon time again at Biola University.

Last years event drew over 100 people, and sadly some organizers got prickly about criticism.

Offered without comment.

GodBlogCon 2006

Oh, well, one. The site is none standards compliant, and doesn’t handle 800 resolution. If you have an older operating system and monitor, you’ll have to scroll from left to right to read it.

Angry, rude emails and comments received from the organizing evangelicals last year for posting, questioning or criticising aspects of the structure and politics of the conference; having an attendee guest blog at BDBO; plus a sorry few juvenile, reactionary posts by an organizer instead of discussion and clarification, doesn’t make it worth more than this mention this year.
I’m sorry to say the men that chose to react to BDBO and other bloggers peed in their own cornflakes as far as I’m concerned by expressing anger and defensiveness.
Maybe this year the gentlemen organizing this event will be able to engage with better listening skills, cultural awareness, grace, patience and respect to critics, outsiders, or perceived critics.

August 3-5, 2006  Sponsored by The DeMoss Group, Zondervan, The Scriptorium, World Journalism Institute (World Magazine), All About God, and Zeit Studios.(GodBlogCon site designer)

In an apparent effort be more ecumenical this year, I’ve been invited to attend. The cost of attending is prohibitive, so I won’t be going. I might comment on what comes out of the conference on my blog, though.

Excellent FD, I’m genuinely interested in what people attending have to say.:^)
