The National Post has a round up of charges 17 Canadians are facing – they appear in court tomorrow for bail hearings.
The Post also has Prime Minister Stephen Harpers reaction to inaccurate US media reports.
There is understandably a lot of talk on Canadian blogs, what we don’t know tends to be what we need to talk about.Â
There is a great deal of partisanship on some political blogs. These arrests are about public safety, these arrests (as in the past) are an opportunity for Canadians to discuss and understand where the country is and where we are going. While people sort out what they think, it is not about how many swear words or names one is capable at directing at a federal politican past or present. Nor is mockery, incredulity, contempt and speculation about Islam, immigration, security certificates particularly productive.
Blogs are as good a place as any to have your say, react and learn. But a lot of bandwidth has been used up with weekend with name calling  drivel on some good Canadian blogs. There are also good blogs looking past the blame game to what happens, how it happens, and what needs to happen.
