[...] Richard Bartholomew and The Revealer have picked up on the story of the defacing of petroglyphs on Qajartalik Island. Although Pentecostals in Kangiqsujuaq, (population 479) about 15 kilometres away deny responsibility, it is believed by the locals “the devil” controls the island. Archaeologists say the ‘horns’ that make some of the carvings look ‘devilish’ were probably the peaks of the tribes hooded garments. [...]

I went to a search engine to see photos of the site. I finally found a link that had more than words only the photos were ??? close-ups of the carvings. It would have been nice to see a photo from a distance with a comparable object (person??) beside it to get a perspective on the size of these interesting carvings. Why wasn't there such a photo provided? There may be one farther down on one of the subsequent pages, buy my time is valuable & I didn't want to search & search only to not find what I was looking for. There should be a link close to the beginning of the list that has many photos to draw interest from the public. Such a well kept secret only deserves to be lost because those in the know didn't do their 'homework' Shame on them. To become high profile with the public you have to make noise & plenty of it.....in the media...with the proper gov't ministers & then with the media again if the ministers ignore you. You know how the media loves to bash elected officials.
