Blog on the Lilypad does what few of us are able to do - reach back into a subculture of fundamentalism and face them down.

Jeri came out of a background of egregious beliefs and practises, and knows what it is like to to live in fear, be bound by rules, and be battered by churches lorded over by cruel, stupid and sometimes criminal men.

She has helped a lot of people who are finding their way out out this lifestyle. It’s a long and hard journey away from harm that is done in God’s name.  
I  don’t know think most people could face relentless verbal abuse day after day, but Jeri does. And because she does, others are helped.
