Online Slang Dictionary
The first email I ever got as a blogger was from someone named Rachel in New Zealand.
I had no idea we would develop a working relationship and a life changing friendship.
Rachel Cunliffe is hard working, brilliant, and modest, not only about her outstanding achievements but her awards and acclaim.
It’s her birthday today. What is cool is the variety of lives she has touched and the fact the fame she has rightfully achieved in New Zealand has not gone to her head at all.
8 months ago I got an email from a 14 year old girl who frequented one of the amazing online communities Rachel and her husband Regan have developed, set up, and managed.
14 year old Kim had a dream, to set up a blog (never done one before) and contact as many people as she could that knew Rachel, asking them to post birthday wishes.
It’s touching. People from several countries, young, older, old, friends, family, co-workers went to the blog, logged in and left a birthday wishes for Rachel.
And every single person kept it a secret.
I am impressed with Kim who worked to hard to gather people, put up the blog and follow though, but that makes complete sense to me. Rachel and Regan help people believe in themselves and bring out their confidence and skills and help them to belong to the sites set up for their interests. R&R are regarded with affection and respect in all their endeavors.
Rachel’s birthday blog is here. Turn the speaker down, it even has music. It’s eclectic, quirky, diverse and as delightful of those who participated, and Rachel’s wonderful birthday day isn’t quite over.
Cool beans!
